Cageside Squad is a small hobby app for predicting UFC fights with friends, using play money. It collects only what it needs to work, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
What we store
- Your account: email address, display name and a hashed password (we never see or store the password itself).
- Discord or Google sign-in, if you use it: your name, avatar and email address from that account, and the account ID that links it to you.
- What you do in the app: the rooms you create or join, your picks and play-money balances, and the chat messages you send. Other members of a room can see your name, avatar, picks (once a fight locks), standings and chat messages in that room.
- Your timezone, detected from your browser, so fight times show in your local time.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and protect forms from forgery. There are no analytics, no ads and no tracking cookies, and no third-party scripts that follow you around the web. Your light or dark theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage and never sent to us.
Your email address is used for login links and to confirm email changes, nothing else. No newsletters, no marketing.
Where your data lives
The app and its database run on a server in the EU (Hetzner). Daily backups are encrypted before they leave the server and stored on Cloudflare R2. Fight data comes from ESPN and odds from The Odds API; we don't send them anything about you.
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone except as described here.
Your choices
You can change your name, email and password, and disconnect Discord or Google, from Settings. You can delete your account and download your data from Settings.
For anything else, contact the person who invited you to Cageside Squad; they know who runs it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top will change and we'll mention it in the app.
